@Sailor, @D_HRRFan7303 & @Mark_Rocka pointed you in the right direction. I attended last year, and I’ll be back for more this year. It was a blast, and I’m thankful to be able to go again this year. If you can make it, there may be a couple of spots still open due to late cancellations…I’d highly recommend it and hope to see you there.
The Official 2020 Camp Song List
Thanks to all for your response I am to much a beginner at this time hope to go next year. also want a better banjo so money may be a thing, as it is always lol God Bless all, keep pickin
I don’t know where I’ve been but I had not received any emails about song lists or really anything else about the July 9-11 camp. Even checked my spam folder. Around the first of June, I emailed Alicia and asked about the song list and she said that was sent out in December…? She forwarded it to me but that doesnt really leave much time to practice the solos. Im still coming and I guess i will just have to settle playing rhythm to most songs. #Bummed
You’re gonna be fine! The songs are just to provide a framework for what you’re going to learn–they are not prereqs in a strict sense by any means. You’re good! Please email her at alicia@banjobenclark.com if you have any questions and I’ll see you soon!
If you can, try to at least learn the chords. We’ll probably be jamming with a lot of these songs at night after dinner.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
Here is my attempt at Wayfaring Stranger. I have been working on this song since last year, way before the Cabin Camp song list come out. It is still rough. Maybe Ben can point out some technique issue that will help me improve it. I’ll be at the July 9th camp. Looking forward to meeting everyone…
Doggone, Chuck, that is some killer pickin’ my friend! I don’t have a lot to tell you, I’m just excited to meet and pick with you!
Thanks Ben! Looking forward to the camp and absorbing all that I can…

Jeff, Thank you for all your help this past weekend. It was good to meet you, and hang out on the Banjo!
Rick, you’re welcome. One aspect of camp that’s hard to advertise is the opportunity to meet and make new friends. Hey, And welcome to the forum!
I see quite a few of your emails @Mark_Rocka … it’s obvious you are a helpful advisor!!! Congrats
I help out when and where I can, Louie. Thanks!
