Split fretter - what do YOU do?

@Simone It will tend to flake off of your finger, but shouldn’t get on your fingerboard or hurt it at all. You will probably start loosing a fair amount of it pretty quickly, but it should last a good part of a night of playing, especially if you don’t get too carried away with pulloffs or something. I also think it helps to keep the coating fairly thin as a really thick or uneven coating can catch on a string and peel off more easily.

Hey @Simone,
I have similar issues with skin cracking. I’ve been putting Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream on the tips of my fingers before bedtime (or several times a day on a cracked finger). You can’t play with it on your fingers (too greasy), but it really helps keep the skin healthier and speeds up healing those pesky cracks. And it’s easy to simply wipe your hands off on a towel if you decide to play shortly after applying. It’s a small container (a little bigger than a silver dollar). Available online or at many grocery or drug stores. Here’s a picture:

@JKL - Thanks Jeff! I see those products (Burt’s) on the shelf at the store all the time, but hadn’t tried any of them… so its kinda like prevention & repair vs. a quick fix patch that the new skin or crazy glue would be. Will probably check this out.
Bet you’re getting psyched for Claw Camp… its getting closer & closer :+1::grin:!

@Simone—Yes, Simone, you’re spot on regarding the Burt’s Bees stuff. And yes, getting excited for the Claw Camp! Maybe we can have another driveway jam afterwards. How’s your late April and May look?

All I can see now is @Simone doing 40 pull-offs in a row at blazing speeds and a fine dust of super glue rising from the fingerboard.
