I did exactly the same thing about three weeks ago. It seems more playable now. And I noticed less tuning required when using a capo.

I adjusted the coordinator rods as per the Steve Huber video.

Yes. I followed the videos on checking the action and then the coordinator rod adjustment. To me, it seemed like a minor adjustment. If I missed anything, let me know.
