I’ve been making a few mandolin armrests recently for fun and finished this ebony one today.
This one is made of ebony and has a super smooth, shiny feel to it. After bringing this armrest up to 600 grit I buffed it with several different wheels and compounds and then added some orange oil to it making for an extremely smooth finish that looks great!
Also has cork on all the places that touch the mandolin.
Includes a neat little tool to take on and off the armrest. Made out of a scrap of ebony from the same piece as the armrest!
